Mechanical and Durability Assessment of Recycled Waste Plastic (Resin8 & PET) Eco-Aggregate Concrete

The massive amount of plastic waste in our natural environment is a global concern. In this study, recycling to partially replace sand concrete investigated. performance Resin8, unique combination all types plastics and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) concrete, has also been Replacement contents 5%, 10%, 15% for by volume were performed. mixes incorporating recycled tested against reference mix without plastic. workability, compressive strength, tensile oxygen permeability index (OPI), effect temperature assessed. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis was conducted on the concretes, pre- post-temperature exposure. PET at replacement content 10% slightly increased strength 2.4%. Regarding OPI test, are classified as “good”. When exposed 250 °C, no significant change observed Resin8 15%, 15%. It clear from results that both suitable partial concrete.
